1 Rubl'
Transnistria · Transnistrian Republican Bank
The Transnistrian Republican Bank issued this limited-edition 1 Rubl' on 8 September 2023 to commemorate the centenary of the Golden Chervonets — the Soviet Union's first gold-backed currency, introduced in 1922, whose reverse famously depicted the Sower figure sculpted by Ivan Shadr. Only 2,500 notes were produced and packaged in presentation folders for the numismatic market. The note uses the standard Transnistrian 1-ruble design bearing General Alexander Suvorov, founder of Tiraspol, enhanced with a commemorative overprint reading '100 Years of the 1 Golden Chervonets'.
