The obverse features a portrait of writer Ivan Franko, while the reverse depicts the Lviv Opera and Ballet Theatre. Maintaining the same design as the standard 20-hryvnia notes (from 2003 and 2018 series), this commemorative version adds the official '30th anniversary of Ukraine's independence' logotype screen-printed in optically variable magnetic ink (OVMI) on the watermark area. Only 30,000 pieces were issued. The note measures 69 x 130 mm and was signed by NBU Governor Kyrylo Shevchenko.
