The obverse features a central portrait of poet Lesia Ukrainka, while the reverse depicts the Gate Tower of Lutsk Castle. The 2021 update represents a new-generation redesign that upgraded the security features of the 200-hryvnia denomination, which had not been substantially updated since 2007. Key improvements include the SPARK optically variable device (changing color from purple to golden-green when tilted) and a RAPID windowed security thread. The note measures 75 x 148 mm.
