Series 2021 $5 Federal Reserve Notes were among the first denominations to enter production in December 2022 (25.6 million notes for the Boston Federal Reserve Bank and 57.6 million for San Francisco). The design retains Abraham Lincoln on the obverse and the Lincoln Memorial on the reverse, unchanged from the 2008 redesign. The series change reflects solely the new Yellen-Malerba signature combination. The $5 note includes enhanced security features introduced with the Series 2006 redesign.
