The Series 2021 $50 Federal Reserve Note carries the Yellen-Malerba signature combination. The $50 note's design, established with the 2004 redesign, features a borderless portrait of Ulysses S. Grant on the obverse against a subtle blue and red American flag background, and the west front of the U.S. Capitol on the reverse. The series designation changed due solely to the new signature pair.
