The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe issued the 50 ZiG note on 7 April 2026 within the 'Big 5' banknote series of the gold-backed ZiG (Zimbabwe Gold) currency. The note features the rhinoceros as its primary motif, rendered in intaglio printing, with the bank's emblem of the Chiremba balancing rocks. The design reflects Zimbabwe's wildlife heritage while upgrading the security of the currency introduced in April 2024.
